Our History
In 1998, the Parents of Suicides support group began on the Internet, and then in 2001, the Friends and Families of Suicides group joined it, creating the POS-FFOS Internet Community. The community is entirely comprised of people who have lost someone they care about to suicide, connecting and finding support and comfort from the connection.
In 2011, volunteers from the POS-FFOS Internet Community decided to create the Faces of Suicide site to honor the memory of the people they had lost to suicide. Seeing photos of real people touches hearts in ways that numbers and statistics cannot.
